Barbara Reid Currence
April 11, 1937 ~ March 2, 2017

Barbara Reid Currence (Larson) of Bloomington, MN who was born on April 11, 1937, went to be with the Lord on March 2, 2017, after a courageous seven year battle with Parkinson's Disease & dementia.  She passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and the loving care at Minnesota Masonic Home. Barb is survived by loving husband of 57 years Doug; children, Sue (Shane) Wood, Dave, Mike (Tina); grandsons, Jon, Tom, Kyle, and Adam. Barb was devoted to family and friends and this is the basis for many memorable holidays, birthdays, and get-togethers. Barb was a beautiful, kind, and thoughtful woman, which was a constant throughout her illness. She will be terribly missed. The family would like to thank MMH for the loving care and support of Barb, as well as Doug, over the past 7 years.

Doug and family, I am so sorry about your loss. Barb was such a amazing woman. I so enjoyed her when she'd attend my activities at the Masonic Home, trivia she was great at! My Monday night word game which she attended always, Barb could come up with words like no other. Even though I'm no longer working there, I would still stop to visit with Barb whenever I came back to visit with the residents. I will miss herr and you Doug, just yesterday I took our grandson to Choo Choo Bobs and thought of you. many prayers for you and the family. You're very special and were a the best husband Barb, like no other!
