Mark Allan Eide
October 20, 1951 ~ January 15, 2019

Mark Allan Eide, 67, of Phoenix AZ passed away on January 15, 2019 at Scottsdale Shea Medical Center surrounded with love by his wife and children. He fought, like a true Viking for over 30 years with the challenges of Lupus. Mark was born October 20,1951 and spent his youth in Two Harbors & Duluth. He was the youngest son of Frank & Ruby Eide. After graduating from Duluth Central he enlisted and served for 4 years with the U.S. Navy. At the end of his military service he returned to northern MN and moved to the Twin Cities in 1983. Mark was employed with Met Council/Environmental Services as a plant operator. Twenty-six years at the Pigs Eye Island Plant in St. Paul & two years with the Blue Lake Plant in Shakopee when he retired in 2014. Mark always had a positive attitude and outlook on life. He was a faithful, caring, proud, honest, hardworking and dedicated man who loved his family, friends, the work he did & the MN Vikings! Mark is survived by his brother Richard of Duluth, sister Virginia (Milton) Glass of Andover, his wife Janet Shaw Eide of Phoenix, son Scott (Tasha) of San Diego, daughter Elizabeth Burman (Jacob) of Carlsbad, CA, 5 grandchildren, Olivia Eide, Megan, Alex, James and Liam Burman, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and extended family & the mother of his children Jean MacDonald Silverman.
