Susan Rae Erickson was born on December 24, 1962 in South Korea. At the age on 9 years old, she was adopted by Marilyn (Johnson) and Keith Erickson of Bloomington, Minnesota. After a life-long struggle with mental illness, Susan died at the age of 55 on Thursday, August 9, 2018 in Oak Harbor, Washington, a town she loved dearly and called home for many years. She is preceded in death by her sister Sheila and her father Keith. She is survived by her mother Marilyn, sister Sarah (Christian Rheault), niece Isabelle and nephews Olivier and Nicolas Rheault, and brother Kevin and nephew Justin Nagell. Susan was a creative, funny, and lively woman who loved animals, the sea, Albert Einstein, and all things other-worldl; her vibrant laugh came easily and was infectious. She is described by many as a beautiful spirit, full of child-like wonder and light. She was a woman of great joys and great sorrows, and her gentle luminous spirit will be missed by this world.
